Because of its high chromium content, JIS SUS201 Stainless Steel Plate's corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are relatively good, but its mechanical properties and process performance is poor, mostly used in acid-resistant structures and for oxidation-resistant steel used for less force. JIS SUS201 Stainless Steel Plate is not resistant to intergranular corrosion, chloride induced stress corrosion cracking and reducing environments (e.g. hydrochloric acid) as well as sulphate and chloride corrosion.
